Donnie was amazing to work with — very communicative, honest, and incredibly dedicated to producing healthy, sound German Shepherds. After losing my last GSD suddenly to cancer, health and temperament were my top priorities. Donnie took the time to walk me through his breeding lines, all of the health testing he does, and the steps he takes to ensure his puppies get the best start. My puppy is only 11 weeks old and is already housebroken, knows almost a dozen commands, and has the perfect balance of outgoing, loving, and easy-to-settle — exactly what you hope for in a young GSD. I’m so grateful I chose Donnie and truly appreciate the care and intention he puts into his program. So glad I found him, and will definitely purchase from him again when we’re ready to expand our little family again!

Everything was perfect; communication was kept every step of the way. A breeder who was honest with the good and the bad, and helped us make the best decision. 15/10 would recommend for anyone looking for a dog.

We contacted Del Lago because we recently lost our GSD to DM, and I noticed that DLCC tested both parents of puppies for DM and many other issues common to GSDs. We were looking for a black puppy and had one of Donnie’s puppies picked out. After speaking with Donnie, he suggested that, because of our age, the puppy we chose would be too “active” for us and suggested we take one of the other puppies. We followed his advice and chose a different puppy. Donnie and everyone at DLCC were wonderful and kept us updated with pictures of our puppy. We can’t say enough wonderful things about DLCC! The puppy we got is WONDERFUL. After our experience with Donnie and Casey at DLCC, we recommend that anyone who wants to be treated fair and by folks who are knowledgeable about the breed, DLCC is the best!

We received Talon from Donnie and Kasey 3/31/25 and she is just perfect. The breeders were beyond perfect to work with. They spent hours communicating and sharing an abundance of information for us about our pup. They have a wealth of information and sent food and care package with the transporter. I knew within the first two mins of communicating with Donnie and Kasey they were the breeders for us. Talon is perfect. She already sits and follows simple commands. She melts our hearts and she is in our forever home. We will forever be grateful as we just lost our beloved GSD and now we have a new one to love thanks to these amazing breeders. Please talk to them if you are looking for a GSD ❤️❤️🤍🤍

I was connected to Donnie through a working dog friend, who owned the sire to an upcoming litter. I had met the sire many times and watched him work, and dreamt to have a puppy out of him one day. My friend mentioned the upcoming litter and referred me to Donnie. I called him that same day and he and Kasey were amazing to work with! From our initial conversation up until we picked up our puppy, both of them were very easy to talk to during that time. We had many conversations about my previous experience as a working dog handler and what I was looking for, and Donnie completely understood and wanted ensure they would pick the right puppy that would best fit our family and lifestyle. Once the litter was born, we got plenty of updates, videos, and photos as they grew and their personalities began to take shape. Everyone involved in the litter did an amazing job evaluating the puppies and chose our “dark blue” puppy for us, now named “Dean”. He’s been just a fantastic dog so far, and we’re beyond grateful for Donnie and Kasey. They are fully committed to producing well-bred, well-rounded working dogs that are awesome on and off the field and are great family dogs. We look forward to our life with Dean in our home and the adventures we’ll have together in dog sports!
