I'm Kolbie R., the breeder behind Des Hausraben Shepherds located in New Cambria, MO. I breed health tested, titled German Shepherds. They exhibit stable temperaments, solid drives, and good nerves. Health and temperament are of most importance in my program and all breeding decisions are made accordingly. It would be my pleasure to introduce you to your next German Shepherd puppy!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My mother and grandfather were both breeders and I inherited the love and passion for it. My goal is to not only produce beautiful puppies, but to help promote responsible breeding in order to ensure that the German Shepherd will continue to move forward for generations to come with its' best qualities to offer
  • What makes your program special?

    My extreme attention to detail and the care I put into my breeding program is what makes it unique. Des Hausraben German Shepherds have been carefully selected, with dogs imported from around the world, to guarantee their accomplished pedigree health and temperament. I strive to produce quality dogs and preserve the true qualities of this amazing breed. I want to put my passion to good use by breeding high quality, healthy puppies as my way to give back to the breed and contribute responsibly.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black seal, sable, black, black and tan, black and red, bi-color, and liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Brucellosis

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Pituitary Dwarfism, Full Embark Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
