Meet the breeder

I'm Courtney G., the breeder behind Desert Canyon German Shepherds located in Arizona. Our dogs are bred for performance and excellence. We value structure that meets the breed standard and health testing. Our puppies are well socialized and prepared for their new homes.

Q. & A. with Courtney

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding after I titled my first sport dog. I love competing and training and wanted to have a litter to improve the breed and give others their first working dog. I have 3 working k9 teams out of my first litter 10 years ago and 4 out of the 2nd litter from 7 years ago.
  • What makes your program special?

I want to produce good quality stable family pets that can do sports if their owners desire. I am trying to create good versatile dogs that are all around dogs!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
