I'm Natalie B., the breeder behind Desert Doods located in Glendale, AZ. All parents in our program are health, genetic, and temperament tested. We also do various activities with the puppies, such as ENS, ESI, and crate exposure, to help your dog live its best life. Puppies are born and taken care of inside our home and are surrounded by children.
Q. & A. with Natalie
Why did you start breeding?
From the time I was a litter girl, I had a passion for dogs. A friend of mine who bred dogs for over twenty years inspired me to begin my own breeding business and she showed me how to do it the responsible way. She taught me the importance of health and temperament testing and now that she is retired I am carrying on the legacy.
What makes your program special?
We strive for quality over quantity. We do health and temperament tests. If a parent does not pass a health test, they become a loved pet instead of a parent in our program. We work on ENS, crate exposure, noise exposure, socialization, and more to help create quality puppies.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, apricot, red, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
