



I'm Mickie R., the breeder behind Desert Magick Leonbergers located in Tucson, AZ. We breed for health and temperment. All dogs have required health screenings and genetic testing completed. The dogs participate in conformation, obedience, and are living family members with numerous AKC titles.

About Danu
Danu comes from Texas. She loves to play catch and chew in her green ball (seen in some photos). She loves to run around the yard, spy in the neighbors when they are outside and she is a huge swimmer! I usually have to pull her out of the pool. She is titled in several things: CGC, CGCA, CGCU, TKN, TKI, FDC, ATT, and FITB. She loves playing, going for car rides, and meeting new friends. She is loved at Ace Hardware and Home Depot!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
