I was very lucky to find Alafia on Good Dog. She made the process very easy by answering all my questions and providing helpful tips. Arrow (now Asta) is a very healthy happy pup. He is very inquisitive and fun of energy. We are having so much fun together. Also, he's beautiful!!

Alafia was readily responsive and communicative throughout the adoption process. She took the time to meet with me on the day of adoption to ensure I had all the information I needed to begin my journey with a new puppy. Alafia set me up for success from the beginning and is available for any questions I may have. My puppy is 5 months old now and we have a great bond thanks to Alafia's knowledge and expertise.

Alafia was very easy to communicate with and offered papers, vet history, a heart worm pill, a toy, collar and a baggy of food! I lived several hours away and she even agreed to come meet me half way. Rain has been amazing- VERY smart and full of energy. She has a full bill of health and I couldn't be happier!

I’m very pleased with the experience I had with Desert Rose Weimaraners. Alafia is very knowledgeable with the breed and raises her litters in her home which is great. The pups are born in a family home and immediately socialized and loved in a warm family environment with young children. I believe this is a great method. My dog Jocko was 8 weeks when I picked him up and seemed accustomed to people, other dogs and loud noises (vacuuming, lawn mowers, vehicles, and even thunder and fireworks (doesn’t even phase him) which I think is a critical step in their development. Her pups are healthy, tails docked and dewclaws removed, shots and all necessary veterinary care. As a result I now have a one year old loving best buddy and we are pretty much inseparable. Highly recommend Desert Rose if you’re interested in a Weimaraner. You won’t be disappointed.

Our experience with Alafia was wonderful. She was very communicative and professional throughout the entire process, starting from my initial inquiry here on Good Dog through the day we picked Zuma up from her, and she continued to follow up in the weeks after to check on how he was doing. In the weeks leading up to when we were able to bring Zuma home, she sent us regular status updates and pictures of the puppies, along with specific details about the personality and traits of each puppy. Zuma has been home with us for about 2 months now, and he is just the best. Any puppy is a lot of work at the beginning, but Zuma was very easy to potty train and is doing really well in puppy training "school". We have zero complaints about our experience with Alafia, and could not be happier with our Zuma.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
