Lisa D.

Breeder of Bernese Mountain Dogs

Meet the breeder

I'm Lisa D., the breeder behind Diaz Farm located in Edwards, CO. Our Bernese Mountain Dog puppies are loved, held, and warm from day one in our mountain-top home. They are with mama Minka around-the-clock and socialized by our three young boys, ages 9, 7 and 4.

Q. & A. with Lisa

  • Why did you start breeding?

My wife and I are always looking at ways our boys could have unique life experiences that don’t require us to jump on a plane and circle the world. Plenty of unique experiences could happen right here at home. There is just something so magical about watching the puppies be born and grow up. It’s a lot of work and a lot of late nights but so worth it.
  • What makes your program special?

We are a single-litter family, so the puppies get our full attention. They live inside exclusively (with the exception of supervised outdoors time when they are old enough!), so they develop in a warm, quiet, loving environment. The pups are are held, loved and socialized by our kids on a daily basis, as well as friends and family who can't say no to puppy time!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
