Meet the breeder

I'm Dawn L., the breeder behind Djinda Australian Terriers located in Peoria, IL. We are preservation breeders developing a small breeding program with AKC championship pedigree. All of our dogs are part of our family, living with us in our home in Central Illinois. We actively participate in AKC conformation shows and our sire is the Number 1 2024 NOHS Australian Terrier.

Q. & A. with Dawn

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our breeder encouraged us to get into AKC conformation and consider developing a small breeding program given the diminishing number of active breeders. We are proud to be establishing our breeding program with Benayr dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

Our sire is the #1 2024 NOHS Australian Terrier. We perform health testing on our breeding dogs as well as perform ENS exercises with our newborn puppies.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are blue and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
