I'm Joseph G., the breeder behind Dog Bones N Harmony located in Austin, IN. We breed our long coat chihuahuas with AKC standards in mind, but they are matched with more purpose than that. Our dogs are truly loving and LOYAL babies. My wife and I have been breeding for 5 years; Vet checks, vaccines, worming, health testing and training are regular.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My mom runs Country Star chihuahuas, been breeding for 10 years or so and my wife has been by her side for the last 7 and wanted to branch off to do our own. See what we could produce and champion, and just create memories with lifelong fur babies of our own!

  • What makes your program special?

    The genuine experience of it all, my wife gives wkly if not almost daily updates from the time you out a deposit on a pup to the day of pick up. She is in communication with every single client to this day. We take pride in our chi’s and want what’s best for clients and the pups. Contracts are held to a high standard and updates are required.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable spotted white, red, chocolate and white, red and white, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Joseph

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,750 - $2,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes ALL age appropriate shots excluding Lepto. Wormings bi-wkly, AKC registration, a 3 yr health guarantee (if requirements are met), puppy socialization & puppy pad training minimum. Deposit holds the puppy for you and covers any unexpected vaccines needed if backed out on or something occurs not allowing you to get the pup. DEPOSIT IS FLEXIBLE.”

Contract & health guarantee

Joseph may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
