I'm Victoria S., the breeder behind DogSmith Purebreds located in Pendleton, SC. We decided to take our love for these breeds to the next level by breeding our incredible dogs. We hope our puppies bring lots of joy and love into the hearts of their new families! We are committed to helping you obtain the perfect puppy, for you.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We have loved dogs our entire life. A pet to enjoy is one thing; watching the life cycle of a species is another, and so delightful!

  • What makes your program special?

    We specialize in family socialization so that future owners will have the best behaved pet possible. We also take necessary precautions with health testing and search for breeding dogs with level temperaments suited to their breed.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our German Shepherd puppies have plush coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our German Shepherd puppies include sable, black, black and tan, and bi-color. Labrador Retriever puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Victoria

Victoria has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Victoria partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“The price includes limited AKC registration*, vaccinations, deworming, ENS, and your puppy’s go-home bag. If your pup isn't produced in the time estimated in first communication and you wish to cancel, we grant a full refund. If you leave the list for any reason we will refund your deposit less $100.”

Victoria may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Victoria was such a pleasure to work with, communicated consistently and clearly, and was just kind and helpful throughout the whole process of bringing our pup (Ender) home. What was really important, however, was buying an exceptionally well-bred dog for my daughter's 5th birthday - and that's where DogSmith hits it out of the park. I can't say enough about the temperament and trainability of Ender. Our dog trainer literally wants to take him from us :) :) :) - even as we move through his wiley puppy stage now, at 8 months old, he's already better than I could have hoped for in a family companion. We can't wait to take Ender with us on many adventures and will be forever grateful to Victoria for bringing him into our lives.
