I'm Dana B., the breeder behind Dolly’s Doods located in Harrisburg, OR. We breed focusing on raising healthy, affectionate, and loyal companions. We health test, raise dogs on therapy dog curriculum, and potty + crate train. As a result of our efforts, we’re positive our puppies will become perfect family members or therapy dogs and add joy to your life!

Why did you start breeding?
Dolly, the matriarch of our program, was so special and such an amazing therapy dog, my therapist friends wanted dogs from her. From our first litter, we’ve been thrilled to have almost half of our dogs in service or therapy, with so many more as ESA.
What makes your program special?
Our program is based on the following pillars: 1. Good genetics: extensive health testing 2. Temperament: puppies that calm easily, are ready for cuddles AND adventures. No aggression and quick self-soothing, high distress tolerance 3. Coat: low shed, easy care, single coated dogs, aiming for reds and apricots 4. Raised in home, with love: constantly attended to by kids, adults, and elderly
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are medium size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, apricot, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Dana

Dana has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Dana partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Puppies are matched with humans based on when families are screened and accepted onto the list. Families have the right to choose their puppy of the remaining ones in the litter, and I offer guidance based on temperament and family desires. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit. The remaining $1,800 - $2,000 is due at pickup, before taxes & fees.

“Prices vary due to a variety of factors. Please contact us for current litter pricing. Deposits are non-refundable HOWEVER they are transferable. If you put a deposit down for this litter and you need to postpone getting a dog, it can transfer to another litter within reason.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. After years of saying I’ll get to it - I finally completed our Family Tree! We’ve had 10 litters in 9 years, and have produced 100 wonderful dogs. Our maternal lineage doesn’t start with Dolly, she comes from a long line of healthy dogs I can trace back over 40 years. When I say we’re all about family, I mean it 💜

Week 5 had been full of growth - both physically and mentally! Pups have been continuing to work on crate and potty training, and it’s going amazingly. We’re constantly introducing new textures, sounds, toys, and other stimuli. Families choose their puppies this weekend and are so excited!

Miley has been enjoying the spring weather - maybe a bit too much! She had her halfway vet check last week, and all is looking healthy and normal! We’ll have an xray on March 24 to check for approximate number of puppies she’s carrying, in preparation for her due date of April 1! She’s starting to really show and enjoying all the extra calories she’s getting.

Miley is a perfect example of why we love goldendoodles! She is energetic and ready to hike, play, and go when it’s time, and also loves posting up on the couch and lounging about for cuddles. She’s attuned to our emotions, and is my constant companion. As a mom, Miley is attentive and calm, and loved playing with her babies when they got old enough to play.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Working with Dana was not only a dream, it was the beginning of a wonderful friendship and dog family! Communication was easy and seamless. Dana is so friendly! From the moment she welcomed us into her home we were met with a gaggle of delightful puppies and our own little Enzo waiting for us! Dana answered all of our questions (we probably exhausted her but you wouldn’t know it!) and it was clear that she is passionate about ethical breeding and her deep love for her puppies! It was an immediate yes! From there we set up our weekly puppy play times. The best part is that we got to play with all of the puppies, not just ours! There are so many special touches she provides- a baby blanket that smells like her and your pups mom, treats, toys and the cutest swag bag! Not to mention endless support and frequent check-ins! We text weekly and share pupdates. Enzo even got to spend a weekend with his mom recently! We are so grateful for Dana and Dolly’s Doods and are already recommending them to all of our friends!

Dana was the best! The puppies were so healthy and well adjusted to people. She answered every question about the litter. She showed real love for the puppies. She was so knowledgeable! Dana welcomed us into her home so we could get to know the puppies and the mom. Dana crate trained and started potty training which was a god send.
