I'm Kristine D., the breeder behind Donough Haven Labradors and GSMD located in Pennsylvania. Our dogs are bred to have top qualities that all families want in their puppies, such as compassion, patience, and love! Our focus is to produce the best dogs of the highest quality so that other families can also enjoy the love of a Labrador Retriever and Greater Swissy's. These dogs have proven to be wonderful companions in our lives. It is a privilege to be able to share that love and friendship with others through responsible breeding.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
Donough Haven Labradors and GSMD reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs.
Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Shoulder Osteochondrosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
