I'm Traci T., the breeder behind Doodles of Sherwood Forest located in Kalamazoo, MI. We breed high-quality puppies. We love what we do and are committed to producing well-bred, healthy puppies for loving homes. Our puppies become integral members of our family. They’re a daily part of everything we do until they’re ready to join their forever families.

Q. & A. with Traci

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Our female Gracie is a f1b goldendoodle, has an amazing therapeutic personality sensing when someone needs help. Her wavy coat is perfect for easy grooming though she does shed. Our male Hollywood is a multi generation labradoodle. His tight curly coat is more hyper allergenic though harder to groom and easily matted. My hope by breeding them to create a more hyper allergy pup with mom's lovely therapeutic personalities.

  • What makes your program special?

    I did not go into breeding to make money. I started with embark testing on male and female. At two years of age we visited a reproductive vet at Family Friends Vetrinary hospital in Grand Rapids. Dr. Wilson gave them a physical to check for body structure and overall health. Dr. Wilson then did OFA certifications on hips, elbows and cardiac for both dogs.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include apricot and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $100 non-refundable deposit and $1,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
