I'm Robinette D., the breeder behind Double Helix Samoyeds located in Elko New Market, MN. We breed focused on health, temperament & structure. Our puppy homes are family. We strive for a lifelong relationship. Like the Samoyed, we try to do it all: herding, pulling, pack hikes, obedience, agility, conformation, companionship and more.
Q. & A. with Robinette
Why did you start breeding?
I ended up with a girl who was spectacular "Allele" and decided the best way to get the best dog I could was to breed to best dog I can. My first boy had to retire early due to an injury. This led to my goal of not only living longer healthier lives but doing it as actively as possible.
What makes your program special?
I focus on the whole dog. A well bred samoyed should be able to do it all as long as possible. I like to get people started and support their goals. Weather that be performance or the best couch surfer possible. And I will be there if anything should happen with support.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and biscuit, white, cream, and biscuit. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
