I'm Peggy P., the breeder behind Dragonwing Kennel located in Savannah, GA. The puppies in this litter are from AKC Registered parents and will be registered with the AKC. Make sure to do research on this breed, and how it might fit your lifestyle. Chinese Cresteds are busy dogs and do well with other animals when introduced properly. We have two cats and 7 adult Cresteds so they will be used to a busy household. I do recommend obedience training of some sort to focus their attention. Our dogs live in the house with us and the pups are housed in the living room so they can be monitored.

Why did you start breeding?
One of my first Keeshonden was the daughter of a famous male who graced the cover of a breed book. I was really interested to see what she might produce.What makes your program special?
Every dog and puppy is an individual. All have names and know their names. My dogs live in the house with us. I'd like to just say a few words about genetic testing. All my breeding stock has been tested or are clear by parentage. Any puppies that I end up keeping for my breeding program I have tested. They are tested for all the common Chinese Crested issues. particularly eyes. One of my favourite puppy people bought a very nice hhl boy to round out their family after a cherished Crested died. Shortly after he arrived they discovered eye issues with the Crested that they already had. It was extremely painful and the dog's vision is very limited now. If his parents had been tested they probably would not have been bred. There are no guarantees in life, but genetic testing can make you feel more secure about picking your new family member.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
