I'm Mary S., the breeder behind Dream Lake Doodles located in Seattle, WA. We give our puppies the best start possible so they’re set up to succeed and be a wonderful additions to any family. These wonderful puppies are raised in the heart of our home with visitors, family, and friends so they get acclimated to all the normal sounds and activity of a household. They get trained in scent work, multi-sensory handling, exposure to other dogs, and playtime in our lush backyard under the watchful eyes of myself and Momma Kellen. Puppies go home to their forever families as happy, well- adjusted and calm family members, ready to embark on a brand new life!
Q. & A. with Mary
Why did you start breeding?
I had always wanted to breed. I grew up in a household where pets were a central part of family life and were treated as valued members of the family. When my Golden doodle Mabel began her first heat, I instantly had to learn how to use social media, obtain a stud, learn the Bad Ass curriculum and so much more. When families came to choose their baby via my floor to ceiling window during the no-contact period and then on puppy-pick up day, I was entirely smitten and head over heels in love.
What makes your program special?
We have one litter at a time. By doing so we devote all of our time, talent and energy to rearing this special one- of- a- kind litter. I work from home and I am able to supervise them in my family room around the clock. We also incorporate two curriculums focusing on sound and scent training. Puppies grow up as participants in the usual sounds and activities of a bustling household such as hearing the vacuum cleaner and dishwasher running, visitors of various ages, plus my Zoom calls. As a result they self- regulate and develop calm demeanors, eager to please.
In this home setting they also get the opportunity to romp in my grassy fully-fenced back yard, another way that makes my program special.
The heart of this program is a genuine love and affection for all of these babies. Puppies are cuddled and snuggled throughout the day. I also make up silly songs and sing to them!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include medium and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, red, chocolate, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Kellen
Kellen is a 2 year old multi-generational Goldendoodle. She weighs 60 lbs and has a curly coat. She is fully health tested via Embark and is clear.
She is highly intelligent, and is fantastic with kids, people, and dogs alike. Her hobbies are eating ( no allergies!), retrieving, carving up huge bones, and playing with her best pal Gracie. She is also a professional cuddler. She is calm, flexible, and easily adapts to new situations. She sleeps in the car and loves going on walks.
Kellen is easily the most loving affectionate dog I have ever owned. She is perfectly content to lay at my feet yet has exceptional watch dog skills. She is intuitively aware of other dogs, "reads them” correctly, and as a result plays well with them.

Mary was awesome! She helped us pick out the right puppy and gave us constant updates, pics and videos from the day we picked out our puppy to the day we brought her home. She was so wonderful and our new pup Hazel is as well! I couldn’t recommend Mary and Dream Lake Doodles enough!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
