I'm Marilyn H., the breeder behind Dreamtime Australian Terriers located in Ooltewah, TN. I have had Australian Terriers for 46 yrs. During the years I have bred and owned many successful Aussies in the conformation ring and have several who have done well with their owners in the Obedience and Rally ring. A well rounded, health pet placed in a great home is most important over everything else. My dogs live in my house and are all health tested according to the ATCA suggested health tests. In addition my dogs are tested for Degenerative Myopathy and are clear. The placement of my dogs are important to me as I am responsible for my dogs for their entire life. I have been a member of the National breed club since 1980 and have served as Board Member, President and Chairman of the Australian Terriers Trust.

Why did you start breeding?
My first Australian Terriers was purchased as a house pet. The breeder said I might consider showing her. My kids thought it would be fun so they started out showing but teen years filled with other activities and I began showing. The second Aussie was a male. They were not to be bred but my interest in the show ring drew me to better quality dogs. After 5 yrs I purchased my real first show girl. Breeding started later.What makes your program special?
I try to make each breeding count for the breed with attention to health and quality conformation. These dogs were bred to be companion dogs and friendly to people. They are not a dog to be left in a yard away from their people.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are blue and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“In talking with each potential buyer of pup I try to accommodate them with a puppy that exhibits the buyers expectations. Show pups are not considered for strictly pet homes however ever dog should be pet pet first. These are house dogs and companion animals. ”

“Price includes 1st puppy shot with Vet health check, AKC Registration paid by breeder, Microchiped and Registration paid by breeder, Information packet plus lead. All of the puppies are the same price whether show or pet.”

Parent health testing
Excellent level

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
