Meet the breeder

I'm Cynthia S., the breeder behind Eclectic Greyhounds located in Mountainair, NM. My goal is to produce athletic, beautiful, biddable, and happy greyhounds. My dogs show, course, and do rally & obedience with me. I have high expectations for both show & performance for my puppies and make sure to place each one with a family complementary to their personality and ability!

Q. & A. with Cynthia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have owned greyhounds since the 1990s when I trained my retired racer in Obedience. I began showing in Conformation soon after. These days I also participate in Rally, Lure Coursing, and Amateur Racing. I keep a mixed household of Retired Racers, Show, and Half-and-halfs, as I love all varieties in the breed. After 25 years in the breed I'm taking the next step and breeding a litter.
  • What makes your program special?

I am breeding for multi-purpose dogs - greyhounds that are pretty enough to succeed in the show ring, athletic enough to excel on the field, and biddable enough to enjoy companion sports like Rally, Obedience, and more. I am looking for puppy owners who want to *do* things with their dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
