I'm Stacey R., the breeder behind Edelweiss and JABO located in Richmond, IN. I have been in dog showing and dog sports for over 40 years. Started out with rough collies and now breed and show Border collies. I got my First AHT 2 years ago and have been mentored by Kathy Knoles of Edelweiss Kennel who has the number 1 AHT all systems and has the top producing site of the breed. I don’t breed often and only breed to better the breed. Lord knows if you are doing it right you don’t make money.

Why did you start breeding?
My mother raised me showing dogs and breeding dogs.What makes your program special?
I don’t breed often. I study pedigrees and with AHTS being a new breed for me, I am being mentored by Kathy Knoles of Edelweiss Kennel who was and is instrumental in the breed. My dogs are members of my family and live in the house. Heath testing is paramount. All puppies are raised in my house and vetted with shots and exams.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have hairless coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Price
"Price includes AKC registration, shots, deworming and vet examination/health certificate. Puppies are raised in my home and potty training is started while living in my home. Pet puppy will have limited registration and must be altered at appropriate age. Pet puppies are 2500.00 and show puppies are 3500.00."

About Sizzle
Sizzle is a female American Hairless Terrier. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Stacey decided to make her part of their program. Stacey has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Parent health testing
Great level
Edelweiss and JABO reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for American Hairless Terriers.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
