I'm Elaine P., the breeder behind Elaine's German Shepherds located in Southfield, MI. I produce pups that will continue to excel in their chosen field, whether that be working, showing, or as an active companion. I raise all of my dogs with love in my home. I have high expectations for my puppies and make sure to place each one with an enriching and loving family that will match their temperament and personality!

Why did you start breeding?
I used to breed more frequently, and I recently got back into it because of my beautiful German Shepherd female. It is an honor to represent this breed and create opportunities for others to experience the same joy that I've found in raising these wonderful dogs.What makes your program special?
My involvement in the national breed club speaks to the standards that I breed my dogs by. I know the health and status of every dog I have bred and am proud of the temperament and conformation of my puppies. I am very dedicated to what I do and what I aim to achieve as a breeder. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the German Shepherd line.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hip Dysplasia

Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
