Meet the breeder

I'm Diane S., the breeder behind Elante Bedlingtons located in Hudson, CO. Here at Elante, we focus on producing well-bred dogs that will excel in the show ring, or be your best friend. We have been involved in dogs for 40+ years, and understand the importance of obtaining a healthy, well-bred dog. Our goal is to not only produce beautiful puppies but to promote responsible breeding in order to ensure that the Bedlington Terrier will continue to thrive for generations to come.

Q. & A. with Diane

  • Why did you start breeding?

When I started in Bedlingtons, I chose foundation dogs that were good representatives of the breed, and more importantly, clear of CT, which was quite prevalent at the time. Those two were bred, and we had our first generation of Elante dogs! That was 25+ years ago, and we still strive to get just a bit closer to perfection each time.
  • What makes your program special?

I'd like to think the amount of time spent studying pedigrees to ensure the greatest chance of success in breeding, along with the amount of time spent socializing puppies, contributes to our program's high standards of producing top-quality puppies. We ensure that whether they are destined to be the next top winner or someone's cherished pet. We are very dedicated to what we do and what we are trying to achieve as breeders. We work with passion, heart, and integrity, and we truly want what's best for the Bedlington Terrier line.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
