I'm Ashleigh G., the breeder behind Emerald Skies Pomskies located in Sumter, SC. My dogs are bred first and foremost for health, temperament, & trainability. I want socially developed pups that are great with kids, families, & new situations. My secondary focus is on desirable masks, eye/coat colors; not only will your pup have a pleasant attitude but be an eye-catcher as well!

Why did you start breeding?
When my 12yr old pomeranian passed away, she'd suffered many genetic ailments from poor breeding, I decided my next dogs would be bred from loving breeders who cared about the condition & quality of their pups. I wanted a larger dog that was still below weight limits for most military families who rent homes with weight restrictions. That's when I found the Pomsky, and fell in love.What makes your program special?
I hope to bring a variety of designs, colors, and masks along with high quality family dogs. I strive for excellence with everything that I do. Holding myself to high standards is paramount to the well-being of my dogs and to the integrity of my program. Price
"The price also includes a two-year congenital health guarantee, deworming, vaccines, DNA test, microchip, and a Vet certification. I also offer lifetime rehoming services should your puppy need it. A holding deposit is non-refundable for advertisement and availability of pups to prospective buyers. Deposits may roll to the next litter for up to 24 months. Deposits over $250 are refundable."

Litter update on 31 Jan •…Week 3! Snowed in! K.Pop babies get a clean new set up this week! It might be snowing 🌨 outside but we've got fun in the indoor puppy pool set up. The pool area is a socialization place for them to get to know our kids and other dogs in a safe, contained area. They'll get exposure to a variety of household sounds and activities for short durations, that lengthen every day. Their whelping pen also gets a new arrangement with the initial introduction to the potty tray and shallow water dish. We've got a new toy exposure coming this week if its not snow delayed. These things build on confidence, potty training, sight and scent stimulation. All eyes are open and are working on focusing, recognition of litter mates and mom. This week we will also place their microchips into the fatty tissue area between their shoulder blades. This is the same area mom would grip them by her teeth if she had to move them. We use the absolute smallest microchip on the market, the Fi nano, and the pierced area is not much bigger than an ear piercing. We do this at this young age where they haven't developed the pain and panic receptors so they barely feel it, and don't thrash about to injure themselves or us. Once placed, the microchip number goes on their health record and are ready to be registered to their new owner upon pick up, while keeping me as the breeder as a back up contact for their lifetime. This is one of the ways we provide lifetime support for our pack families and their pups.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Legg-Calve-Perthes (OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Agouti DNA Test, Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Ashleigh has been nothing short of amazing from communicating consistently through Good Dog and sharing images and personality traits about our Pomsky. Ashleigh made this a very easy and happy process and we are loving our new member of the family. You can tell she truly loves what she does and she cares very much about her puppies and the families who bring her dogs to a new home. I am working on a family picture with Mira (or Pepita not sure of the name yet) but trying to get us all at home at the same time has been tough.

I came to Emrald Skies Pomskies because of the above and beyond health testing, and was delightfully blown away by the wealth of puppy tips and adorable pupdates as the litter was raised! Ashleigh worked hard to communicate clearly with me and share so many tidbits about the puppies as they grew to help me pick out the perfect pup. So far my new puppy Chaos is a perfect puppy! Still a lot of work (what baby isn't?), but he's clearly been well loved and prepped for the big bad world, and he faces each new hurdle with watchful curiosity. He is a delight, and I can't wait to watch him grow and mature with me!
