I'm Jennifer U., the breeder behind Equinox Kennels located in Sanford, ME. Our dogs are our family pets and we actively show them in conformation in AKC and UKC. We do health test. When we breed the focus is on producing healthy dogs that are bred to standard and have wonderful temperaments. Our focus is competing and having fun so we only breed maybe once a year.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Polyneuropathy (NDRG1), Alaskan Malamute Type
