I'm Jody S., the breeder behind Esteemed K9 German Shepherds located in Palermo, CA. At Esteemed K9 German Shepherds, we specialize in long-coated traditional West German Show lines in black, sable, black, and red, as well as specialized colors silver sable, seal, and white. Esteemed K9s is known worldwide for the dogs we produce to the highest standards possible. Dogs from our breeding program have been placed Top 5 and 10 in the hugely competitive German BSZS Championships for the past 2 years.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include stock, plush, and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black seal, sable, black, black and silver, black and red, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Jody

Jody has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $1,500 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppy will come with age-appropriate vaccinations, be dewormed, microchipped, AKC registration, Health Guarantee, Contract, Lifetime breeder support and guidance. If canceled by the seller, refundable. If canceled by the buyer, can be put towards another future litter or possible refund pending reason for having to cancel.”

Jody may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
