Q. & A. with Eva

  • Why did you start breeding?

Over 30 years ago, I bought a Chihuahua puppy from a pet store. I loved her deeply, but heartbreak came early — she passed away at just 4 years old due to a heart condition. Losing her felt like losing a child. That grief changed me forever. From that moment on, I made it my mission to learn everything I could about the breed. I began buying puppies from top Westminster lines and world-class FCI show dogs — not just for their beauty, but for their health, structure, and sound genetics. I wanted to protect this breed I loved so much… and eventually, that passion led me to become a breeder. Today, I breed with purpose — to preserve, protect, and improve the Chihuahua. It all began with love, and that love still guides everything I do.
  • What makes your program special?

I had such a wonderful experience working with Eva! From start to finish, she made the entire process so easy and stress-free. She was always kind, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure her dogs went to the right homes. The little Chihuahua I brought home from her is absolutely perfect — sweet, healthy, and everything I could have hoped for. It’s clear that Eva puts so much love and care into raising her dogs, and it truly shows in their temperament and confidence. I’m beyond happy with my new boy and can’t thank Eva enough for helping me find him. I’ll definitely be coming back to her in the future and would recommend her to anyone looking for a happy, well-cared-for pup!

I researched a lot of breeders before I bought my little Sophie, and I could not be happier with my choice. Eva is not only a very experienced breeder, she is also a truly caring person whose puppies and future homes matter to her. You can tell by just speaking with her that every puppy matters and their future matters to her. She took the time to talk to me about Sophie, her background and everything I would need to know about taking in a new puppy. I had my other baby for over 15 years and it has been a while since I had a puppy. Sophie came to me at 10 weeks old. She has the best personality I could have asked for. She is so loving and playful at the same time. She goes straight to her potty pad when I say potty and has not had any accidents. Her intelligence at such a young age amazes me. You can tell she is from a good blood line and that Eva took the time to start training her. I love the fact that she was kept inside to stay healthy. She also comes when I call her, listens when I say no to something that she should not be doing and loves playing fetch already, and today only makes a week that I have had her! Sophie also gets along so well with my 14 year old Maltipoo. I can honestly say without a doubt that this baby was breed properly and given lots of love and attention before I got her. Eva also took the time to send me pictures and videos while I waited to meet my new addition to my family! I can honestly say I feel very blessed to have met Eva and had the ability to purchase one of her puppies. It’s one of the best decisions I have made. The transition into our home was made so easy with Eva’s help! I definitely plan on getting another puppy down the road. I bought my baby as a pet and have no plans to breed or show her, but health and temperament were very important to me. I got everything I was looking for and more with Sophie. She is PERFECT thanks to Eva! Thank you Eva for the way you breed and raise your pups. You are One in a Million!!!

Eva is a reputable and dedicated Chihuahua breeder who prioritizes her puppies' health, training, and overall well-being. - She’s is knowledgeable and answered my many questions before reserving a puppy, after we reserved our puppy, and has continued to be responsive to this day. She’s amazing! - Mini Queen, now named Gidget, is in excellent health and came with her Florida health certificate. - At just 8 weeks old, Gidget arrived pee pad trained, highlighting the early training that Eva provides. Since our puppy's arrival, Gidget has only had a couple of oopsies - which were two paws on and two paws off her pee pad. I’m still surprised that Gidget knows to go to her pee pad to potty. - Gidget is intelligent—recognizing her name and beginning to give “high-fives.” She's friendly, playful, and affectionate, with a quiet demeanor. She interacts well with other dogs and people, making her an ideal companion for my husband and me. These positive behaviors reflect the careful breeding practices, training, and early socialization emphasized by Eva’s breeding program. I stressed about picking a breeder. I’m thankful we selected one of Eva’s Chihuahuas! Our Gidget is worth every penny spent, and we look forward to purchasing another puppy in the future ( Something we never considered until bringing Gidget home ). We are ecstatic with our new family addition!
