I'm Melissa M., the breeder behind Exotic City Pomeranians and chihuahuas located in Newport Beach, CA. We cherish each of our dogs and puppies! We choose healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always loved dogs my whole life! I have taken many years to learn about breeding and I feel I am very good at what I do! Im very picky where our babies go when they leave us also! Once you get a puppy from us your family and you will have a lifetime of breeder support !

  • What makes your program special?

    When I decided I wanted to breed Pomeranians and chihuahuas I looked locally and couldn't find the quality I wanted to produce. I ended up importing some amazing Pomeranians and chihuahuas from all over the world ! I feel I have really great quality Poms and chis with amazing colors and my dogs are not lacking health or structure ! Small adorable babies ! Great colors , great structure and great fluff !

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Chihuahua puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Maltipoo puppies include merle, apricot, cream, and champagne. Chihuahua puppies include merle, black, chocolate, cream, blue, chocolate blue, cream and white, chocolate and white, chocolate and tan, blue merle, blue and tan, and black and tan. Pomeranian puppies include red, orange, cream, black, blue, white, chocolate, orange sable, black and tan, chocolate merle, blue merle, chocolate sable, beaver sable, chocolate and tan, and beaver. Maltese puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Melissa

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Melissa partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $1,000 refundable deposit and between $5,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Melissa is wonderful! What an amazing special breeder she is. I’m sure she was getting tired of my many questions but she was always happy to answer. She kept me updated with pictures and videos and it was so much fun to see the progress of my baby Chihuahua. Every interaction with Mellissa was great..she is so down to earth, pleasant, and easy to work with. She loves her puppies and it shows as she prepares for the puppies to leave her care and go to their new homes. I am so impressed with the professional process through the breeder and Gooddog and I’m sure I will be dealing with them again. The puppy going home bag is amazing!     Melissa was so kind and thoughtful she made sure Nessie had everything she needed and made a cute book for starting with a puppy. She also included photos of Nessie growing up from when she was born until I picked her up! It was so thoughtful and Nessie has been so good I take her everywhere I go I don’t put her down because she needs her next round of shots but I also have a small service dog that Nessie loves. Of course Nessie is a puppy so she loves to play but Opal my dog is very patient with her and they get alone well. One more thing that was wonderful for her age she already knew exactly where to go potty and has only used her pads so far. Thank you so much Melissa you are so sweet and I am so lucky to have gotten my new puppy from someone who cares for her pups well and even checks in to make sure all is well. We will send you some pics as she gets a little bigger and we will definitely be adding to the photo book you gave us:) You made our home an even happier place!

    Thank you, thank you, thank you for breeding such sweet puppies! Teddy and Emma are doing so well. They fit right into our family. I have had many Pomeranians and Ragdoll kittens over the years from breeders, but Melissa is by far the best! She sent photos and videos every week so we could see how they grow. She was the only breeder that gave goody bags of food, toys and a wonderful book telling about pomeranians. Good Dog is wonderful to work with.     There were plenty of breeders but I’m so glad I went with Melissa!! She’s so knowledgeable, attentive, responsive and so caring towards her pups. I kept telling my girlfriend that we couldn’t have picked a better breeder. She was very informative and gave us a little take home package to go with our little guy. She also gave us a binder with a bunch of information on how to take care of a teacup Pomeranian and offered for us to call her whenever we needed. If that’s not loving your job and being passionate about what you do then I don’t know what is.
