I'm Shelbie R., the breeder behind Fairytale Kennel located in Whitmore Lake, MI. We offer smart, lovable, and healthy AKC German Shepherd puppies! Our dogs are health tested and go through tons of training to reassure a stable mind. We produce black and tan, all black, and sable colors with long and stock coats. We are dedicated to preparing our puppies to thrive as their best selves, and we strive for quality and excellence with everything that we do. We can't wait to connect with you!

Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding because I trained German Shepherds all the time. I had a beautiful female with good lines and the best temperament and health, so that's where it all started! I love being a breeder. It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others!What makes your program special?
My dogs are my best friends. I don't get rid of them when I can't breed them anymore, and I don't have so many that I can't house them all. I also am careful with each litter and don't over breed. I am happy to tell you more about what life with a German Shepherd is like and how they will not only enhance your daily life, but exceed your expectations!Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Shelbie
Shelbie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $700 - $1,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Also included are the puppies AKC papers, 2 rounds of shots and deworming, a health contract, a deposit contract, and lifetime support from me on questions with health, breeding, and training. I do not raise prices on puppies of different colors or sex. A deposit is refundable only if given before the litter was due and the sex or color was not produced.”
Contract & health guarantee
Shelbie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
