Lauran P.

Breeder of German Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Lauran P., the breeder behind Feldwächter German Shepherds located in Ore City, TX. Our goal at Feldwächter is to produce the total German Shepherd Dog that resembles standards in temperament, drive, and conformation. We take pride in producing mentally stable, high drive dogs that are great both on and off the field.

Q. & A. with Lauran

  • Why did you start breeding?

I purchased my first German Shepherd in 2017. He ended up developing reactivity towards other dogs. Professional training was out of my budget so I decided to do some research and correct his behaviors on my own. Unbeknownst to me, he loved to work and wanted nothing more than to make me happy. That’s where my passion for the breed really started.
  • What makes your program special?

We value not only the performance of our dogs on the field but also in the home. Our dogs are valued members of our family before they’re our sport dogs and we feel that’s an extremely important trait to preserve. Our dogs also are active in multiple different sports, truly showcasing how versatile the breed can be and should be.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include long and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, black and tan, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
