I'm Bailey B., the breeder behind Fetch Quest located in Pemberville, OH. We strive for rounded and stable dogs with strong off switches; who excel as Work and Sports Prospects but also in Conformation. Our breeding program started with one small litter that turned into a fulfilling, lifelong passion! We believe there’s no greater joy than providing families with companions that share unconditional love no matter what.
Q. & A. with Bailey
Why did you start breeding?
Back in the '70s, my great-uncle was an English Bulldog breeder of Champions in Obedience and Conformation. He made a change, so my family pursued bettering dog breeds. We have supported ethical dog breeding in multiple breeds, and he encouraged me to find a passion of my own one day—even if it wasn't with dogs. Taking everything he taught me to improve my favorite breed, I made Fetch Quest.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and tan, black and red, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Fetch Quest reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Full Embark Panel, Ichthyosis, German Shepherd Type, Factor VIII Deficiency (Exon 11), German Shepherd Type, Cone Degeneration, German Shepherd Dog Type, DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
