Meet the breeder

I'm Jessica R., the breeder behind Flipside Dogs located in Alabama. We compete in AKC events and show and breed our dogs who are home raised on live on a farm. We are active in All Breed Clubs and Breed specific Clubs. We breed on a selective basis to improve the breed and to obtain our next show dog. Our dogs and animals are our family and are raised with love.

Q. & A. with Jessica

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got in to breeding and showing when my Search and Rescue prospect developed significant health concerns. I became increasingly frustrated with the health issues of my rescues and poorly bred purebreds. I kept pouring my heart and sole into animals with health and behavioral issues spending a small fortune along the way. I finally realized a healthy well bred dog was worth the money.
  • What makes your program special?

We breed on a selective basic dogs who are healthy, breed type, titled and with temperaments that adhere to standard. We are selective in how we place our babies.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our American Hairless Terrier puppies have hairless coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Jessica has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jessica partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We are a show kennel and breed for our next show dog- after we select our keepers, we work with approved home to select the puppy that best matches the home. While puppy homes get to select their pups in order of deposits received, we do reserve the right to decline a specific puppy if we feel it would not be a good match for the home, personality or temperament wise. Sex and color should not be used to pick your puppy but a match of personality to your home and lifestyle. We guarantee you will love whom ever you take home and ALL puppies will be stunning!”

Jessica is a very good breeder, i couldn’t be happier with my new buddy Leonard. Of course any adopting a puppy must understand their needs and Jessica prepared me with help tips. She also provided medical info and at the first Vet appointment was very satisfied with the documentation. Being able to provide references was a plus from the AKC as well from earlier adoptions folks. The follow-up from her and the AKC was very helpful in deciding on Pet Insurance as well.
