I'm Alexis S., the breeder behind Florida Anatolian Shepherds located in La Grange, GA. Our dogs are bred first and foremost with a guardian temperament in mind. They are raised around children and animals to ensure they are gentle companions to those they protect. They snuggle and cuddle just as hard as they bark and patrol. They will be your or your livestock's best friend!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We first needed a Livestock Guardian Dog once we got a sheep farm and realized we had a coyote and other predator threat in the area. Once we recognized the potential of this breed to be a guardian not only for livestock, but for families and households all over, we knew we needed to get involved. This breed is not only an incredible livestock guardian, but a family one as well.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our breeding program is special due to its emphasis on breed standards and being good family, as well as livestock, guardian dogs. We handle them to be around children, other small animals, and to be on their best behavior around the house in general. Additionally we donate 10% to the American Heart Association, a charity near and dear to us.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Alexis

Alexis has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Alexis partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Deposit to hold dog of choice, this deposit is refundable. Once the deposit is made, travel plans for your puppy are arranged.”
