I'm Melissa Y., the breeder behind Forever Young Terriers located in Hampton, NE. Our dogs are bred to the breed standard for health and temperament. We are dedicated to providing our families with a wonderful, healthy family pet. I have a dog and two bitches, a broken, smooth and a rough coat they all are well socialized and go to the vet once a year.

Why did you start breeding?
I have had a JRTs in my life for over 20 years. I started showing them about 12 years ago and then the next step was breeding.
What makes your program special?
I don't know about special but I love all of the puppies like they are going to stay with me. I test all of my bitches/dogs for every disease or issue that a JRT could have I am very picky as to who gets one of my babies.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $100 non-refundable deposit and between $800 - $1,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps
protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you

Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA), JRTCA Registry
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Primary Lens Luxation (PLL), ESSFTA/University of Missouri DNA Bank, Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
