I'm Donna M., the breeder behind Fortuna Japanese Chin located in Kingsville, MO. Fortuna Japanese Chin breeds with a focus on health, conformation, movement, and temperament. My goal is to place healthy, well-adapted puppies that are well prepared for the transition to a new home.

    I knew I wanted to be involved with the breed. Sharing them with others and being a part of the breeding process is something I couldn't live without.
  • What makes your program special?

    We love and care about all of our dogs, and only want the best for them. With this, we focus on health testing to ensure we are breeding healthy, well-adapted puppies.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include between $1,250 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Gangliosidosis GM2, Japanese Chin Type

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
