I'm Elizabeth C., the breeder behind Gemini GSD located in Sandown, NH. We decided to start breeding to share the best possible puppies with excellent personalities, temperament, and most of all health! Active member: AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. program. We raise our dogs in our home right alongside our family. We love being able to match our puppies with families that are the perfect fit for their personalities.
Q. & A. with Elizabeth
Why did you start breeding?
My father bred Chinook's in Maine. While I'd always loved Chinooks, German Shepherds were my favorite and we had those for years. My first GSD was Shad, an imported long coat male that was huge and had the sweetest temperament. Temperament is a huge factor and health.
What makes your program special?
All puppies are DNA testing prior to placement for typical GSD issues. Puppies are tested for temperament using the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test (PAT). There are 10 items that test for social attraction, following, restraint, social dominance, elevation dominance, retrieving, touch sensitivity, sound sensitivity, sight sensitivity, and stability. All results will be provided to new family.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
