I'm Xania M., the breeder behind Glacier Point Icelandics located in Mariposa, CA. The Icelandic Sheepdog is a very active mid-sized Nordic breed with a heavy double coat. They need plenty of exercise and tend to be vocal at times. Because they were bred to be a farm dog in Iceland, they adapt to many dog sports and excel in agility, lure coursing , rally and obedience.

Glacier Point Icelandics meets or exceeds our community standards in these areas:

Icelandic Sheepdog
About Seger
Over the years, I have always found a companion dog who travels with me, helps with the pups, and is always by my side. That is Seger. He is calm, smart, and trustworthy , a reflection of his sire, Jasper. Seger passes on his temperament to his pups, which makes them ideal family dogs as well as performance pups. I am proud of him and also the breeding program that produced him.

Icelandic Sheepdog
About Toro
Toro is the result of a collaboration with Finnish/German lines and imported Icelandic breeding stock. He is truly an active, working dog and held the fasted FastCat time in the breed for years, as well as ranking in the top five for conformation.

Icelandic Sheepdog
About Maya
Maya is a pied with a short, thick coat. She is very well-bred and healthy, with good hips, eyes, and heart. She has had a BAER test for deafness and has hearing in both ears.

Icelandic Sheepdog
About Flame
Flame results from an International breeding, combining German and Icelandic lines. She has a short, thick coat with excellent tail carriage and all her dewclaws. Flame finished her Championship in 2022 and is now working on her FastCat titles.
