Meet the breeder

I'm Kathey G., the breeder behind Glidden’s Great Saints located in Akron, OH. Our main focus is on maintaining the Saint Bernard breed standard by raising structurally sound and correct puppies with excellent temperaments. The Saint Bernard is a loyal breed that thrives with love and attention from its owner together with strict obedience. Once you own a Saint Bernard to be without one there is a void in your soul.

Q. & A. with Kathey

  • Why did you start breeding?

Although we've owned Saint Bernards for over 40 years, it wasn't until the past few years we have been serious about showing and breeding our Saints. We began by attending dog shows. We joined our local Saint Bernard Club and then became members of the Saint Bernard Club of America.
  • What makes your program special?

At Glidden’s Great Saints we produce excellent companions. We understand the importance of dog health, temperament, and structure. Every breeding decision is made accordingly. We are also constantly improving our breeding program and work closely within the Saint Bernard community to do so.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
