Meet the breeder

I'm Isabelle C., the breeder behind Golden Doodlebugs located in Johns Island, SC. All our parent dogs are health tested and results are carefully considered when selecting breeding pairs. Each puppy goes through Puppy Curriculum - a program that raises puppies' confidence and go-home readiness. All puppies are reared in our home with daily exposure to a happy, busy household.

Q. & A. with Isabelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

For the past five years, I’ve been lucky to work closely with dogs through fostering and hands-on experience. Fostering especially opened my eyes to how important it is to match the right dog with the right family. Seeing a dog settle into a home where they truly belong is one of the most rewarding feelings and it’s what inspired me to begin breeding with the same purpose and care.
  • What makes your program special?

I produce goldendoodles that make wonderful companions for families, couples, and individuals. Health, temperament, and structure are at the heart of my program. Each puppy is raised in a hands-on, loving home environment where socialization and proper care result in confident dogs. I’m always available for guidance, questions, and advice because great breeding doesn’t end when a puppy goes home.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, apricot, red, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Isabelle is a fantastic breeder to work with. Not only is she very responsive but will answer every question and make sure you’re comfortable with the decision to take one of her pups home with you. I was very impressed with the training she did with the puppies. The transition from her house to mine was seamless.

Our family had a truly magical experience with Golden Doodlebugs. From the ease in which we were able to view their available puppies (photos, descriptions, updates) to picking our new sweetest boy- each step of this process was wonderful. Owner, Isabelle is so lovely and all of her puppies are ADORABLE, sweet, playful, gentle, and socialized. Isabelle provided us with our pup’s vet and vaccination history, registration for his chip (yes, already done!), blanket with mom and siblings scent, toys, food, and helpful tips for bringing puppy home. It is tangible how well loved and cared for these puppies are. I will absolutely be a returning costumer in the future ! We are a very grateful to have found our new best friend through Golden Doodlebugs.

Isabelle first impressed me with her bio, so I reached out to her, and she immediately responded back. She answered any questions or concerns along the way, always promptly. I came to visit when the puppies were old enough to have company, and the puppies were being raised right inside the home, like family, but you would never know it, so clean and tidy. Isabelle sent me pictures and updates all along the way. My puppy is settling in so nicely, and he is very calm and cuddly. Adopting from Isabelle was an awesome experience, she is so knowledgeable and very clearly loves each and every one of the pups.

Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
