Meet the breeder

I'm Alana S., the breeder behind Golden Garden Doodles located in Bolingbrook, IL. Exceptional dogs are the result of careful planning, nurturing, and attention to detail. Our Mini Goldendoodles come from parents health tested across 250+ genetic markers. Puppies receive ENS, are raised in family life from day one, and are thoughtfully matched by temperament to the right families.

Q. & A. with Alana

  • Why did you start breeding?

My passion for responsible breeding began with Koda, my beloved Rottweiler. She came from a breeder who did not genetically health test and later developed costly genetic issues requiring surgeries and specialized care. I never want families to face that. It inspired me to build my program around thoughtful testing and intentional pairings for the healthiest start possible.
  • What makes your program special?

Exceptional dogs are the result of careful planning, nurturing, and attention to detail. Our parents are health tested across 250+ genetic markers to guide intentional pairings. Puppies receive ENS, are raised in family life from day one, and are closely observed so we can thoughtfully match each puppy’s temperament with the family and lifestyle where they’ll thrive.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include petite and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, apricot, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Alana

Alana has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Alana partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Our matching process takes place around 5–6 weeks of age, when each puppy’s personality and temperament are easier to assess. I talk with each buyer about their lifestyle, activity level, household, and the type of companion they’re hoping for, then use those preferences along with my observations to help guide them toward the best fit. I want each puppy to blend naturally into their new family’s lifestyle, but the ultimate decision always belongs to the buyer.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit that secures a spot in a litter. The remaining $1,740 is due before pickup, plus applicable taxes and fees.

“Your puppy comes home with first vaccinations, deworming, ENS training, health records, a birth certificate, sample food, toys, and a scented blanket. Everything to make homecoming feel extra special! Your $400 deposit secures your spot in the litter and establishes your puppy pick position based on the order deposits are received. Your deposit is applied toward the total puppy price.”

Contract & health guarantee

Alana may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
