I'm April R., the breeder behind Golden Mountain Doodles located in Vail, AZ. We love this amazing combination of dog, Golden Retriever, Bernedoodle. These dogs are loyal, family centered, quick to learn and easy to train, a potentially lower shed then other GMD because of the mix of poodle in the DNA.

Why did you start breeding?
We lost our beloved family dog in 2020. He was a loving family pet and a large part of our family. We hadn’t planned to add another dog to our family, but in 2021 I learned about Bernedoodles. I love that they are active as well as low-key and their low shedding. We purchased a female in 2022 desiring to breed golden mountain doodles. I am absolutely thrilled to breed this type of family dog.What makes your program special?
My focus is on developing a program with a high priority on well mannered, healthy, and family loving dogs. I’m focused on devoting time and energy to my mammas breeding and development, so that she can become the best example for her litter. I followed the badass breeders program and give special attention to each phase of development.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
