We strive to produce highly trainable, healthy puppies that can excel as service/therapy dogs, working dogs, and as companions. We are conscientious in our breeding practices, and we breed for health, temperament, drive, and ability. Juno, mom
German Shepherd
About Juno
Juno is a super sweet girl. But don’t let that fool you. She is very watchful and aware of the world around her. She is on the calmer side but will not be bullied by other dogs. She’s great with cats and other animals as well. Her coat is a thick and dense, deep red and black in color.
Riot, dad
German Shepherd
About Riot
Riot has both his international and UKC grand championship. He also has performance titles in Dash and B-Cat, his american temperament test certification, and farm dog certification. He has a lovely sweet disposition while retaining a strong protection drive. He is steady and calm and has a great sense of humor. His puppies from his first litter have shown great promise in all aspects of life. I expect no less from this litter.
Dream, mom
German Shepherd
About Dream
Dream is a playful and happy girl with a level head. She loves to be petted, cuddle, and guard her home. She has never met a dog or cat she hasn't loved and does well will people of all ages. Dream is what I would call a medium drive dog. She's spastic or bored with spending time with her people. As long as she is with her family she is willing to do anything.
Golly-G German Shepherds reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
