I'm Nichole & Dave T., the breeder behind Good As Gold Doodles located in Baltimore, MD. We're Nichole and Dave of Good as Gold Doodles, an intentionally small Standard Goldendoodle breeder near Baltimore. Our name reflects the standard behind every decision we make, from comprehensive health testing and Puppy Culture early development to thoughtful family matching. We raise confident, healthy puppies with purpose and give each one the best possible start in life.

Why did you start breeding?
Our story really starts with George, our own Goldendoodle. Living with him showed us exactly what makes this breed so special: the temperament, the intelligence, the way he fit into everyday family life. He's the reason we went looking for Ingrid, our foundation girl who came to us from another GANA breeder. "Good as Gold" became the benchmark we hold ourselves to, from health testing to Puppy Culture to how carefully we place every puppy.What makes your program special?
We're not a kennel or a volume breeder, and we don't want to be. We raise just one litter each year in our home, giving every puppy the individual attention they deserve from birth. Our breeding dogs complete all GANA-recommended health testing, and every puppy is raised using the Puppy Culture curriculum, including early neurological stimulation, sound and surface exposure, and daily handling from the very beginning. By the time our puppies are ready to go home, we know each one well enough to thoughtfully match them with the family where they'll thrive.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Getting a puppy from Nichole & Dave
Nichole & Dave has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Nichole & Dave partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“Deposit order sets the pick sequence, but temperament guides the match. Before matching begins in week seven, each family receives an individual evaluation of every puppy’s confidence, energy level, and sensitivity. This gives families a clearer understanding of which puppy may be the best fit for their home and lifestyle, rather than choosing based on appearance alone.”
Price
“Includes age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a veterinary health check, initial potty training, toys, food and treats, vet records, basic obedience and manners, a registered microchip, and a blanket with mom and littermate scent. A $300 nonrefundable deposit secures your place on our waitlist. The remaining balance is due at puppy selection, usually around 7 weeks of age. Puppies go home between 8 and 9 weeks. Your deposit may be transferred to a future litter if needed.”

About Ingrid
Ingrid is our foundation dam and the heart of our program. She comes from Woodview Doodles, a respected program led by a fellow GANA breeder. She is athletic, affectionate, and deeply people focused, with the kind of steady, socially confident temperament we value most. She loves other dogs, enjoys meeting new people, and approaches new environments with curiosity and confidence.

Good As Gold Doodles reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Goldendoodles.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
