Meet the breeder

I'm Alicia M., the breeder behind Grateful Bernese & Gage's Goldens located in Loveland, CO. Our dogs are excellent representations of their breeds, and we are proud to offer our high-quality puppies to loving homes. We breed with a focus on health and temperament, and we spend lots of time socializing and training our pups. We have high expectations for our puppies and strive to place each one in an enriching and loving home!

Q. & A. with Alicia

  • Why did you start breeding?

When the golden I had bought for my kids died suddenly at 4 years old, and I discovered all that was lacking in the breeding program I bought him from, I decided to breed my own litter applying all my incredibly high standards from years of horse breeding to my dog program. What was meant to be one litter turned into my families passion, and an integral part of what we do at our ranch in Colorado.
  • What makes your program special?

    The quality of my dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernese Mountain Dog puppies are tri-color. Golden Retriever puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Exceptional Experience with Grateful Bernese and Alicia. I recently had the pleasure of working with Alicia for the adoption of our new furry family member, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Being 1000 miles away, I was nervous about the process, but Alicia reassured me that it was nothing to worry about. Her communication was outstanding—she kept me updated every step of the way, answering all my questions and providing detailed information about our pup. It was clear that she genuinely cares about her dogs and wants the best for both them and their future families. The delivery of our pup to the airport was seamless. Alicia took the time to ensure that everything was organized and that our new addition was safe and comfortable for the journey. Now, about our pup Molly—she is absolutely perfect! Healthy, happy, and full of energy. It's evident that Alicia has put a lot of love and care into raising her dogs. I highly recommend Alicia as a breeder. If you're considering adding a furry friend to your family, you can trust that you'll be in great hands with her. Thank you, Alicia, for bringing so much joy into our lives! The Gray Family
