I'm Desire B., the breeder behind Gribbins Southern Shepherds located in Campbellsville, KY. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. We do focus heavily on confirmation, their athletic abilities, and their intelligence. We have/raise pups that are suitable for pet homes, active pet homes, and working/sport homes. Our dogs all come with a health guarantee and lifetime breeder support/contract.

What makes your program special?
My dogs are raised with me and my kids, as well as other animals, on our 15 acre farm. Pups are raised in home from day 1 and socialized everyday with my kids and my other dogs when age appropriate. We raise and treat our dogs like the family that they are, not just pets! They are my babies and are treated and raised as such ❤
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include long, plush, and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, black and red, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Desire

Desire has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $900 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Pups price includes their full AKC rights/registration papers. A puppy/health guarantee contract. Being UTD on ALL age appropriate shots & wormings. Socialized with kids & other dogs & vet checked with ALL records. Deposits on pups range from litters, but most usually are $300. They are NON-REFUNDABLE unless it is in regards to health of pup. It is reduced from whole price of pup.”

Desire may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
