I'm Mary J., the breeder behind GrinNation Noble Am Staffs located in Kankakee, IL. The Am Staff has been my focus and commitment since 2001. Dedicated to producing quality pups and preserving the Noble line. I am a member of the Staffordshire Terrier Club of America and Working Dog Club. We want to provide top-quality beloved companions. We commit ourselves towards preparing each one of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, and we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence!

Q. & A. with Mary

  • Why did you start breeding?

I had admired this breed before 2001 and once I had one in my home I never looked back. They are the all around American Dog with a side of humor. "American Made Terrier Tuff" is my slogan. My desire to produce such a magnificent specimen was born.
  • What makes your program special?

I am specializing in preserving the Noble Line of Am Staff which has been around for 40 years. I The Noble Line is a "Type” of American Staffordshire Terrier. “Style” and “Character”, to the standard but all things being shown worthy, the male's head must be substantial but angular. Females were to be obviously female with a chiseled angled head, substantial bone Bone was always oval and NOT round. Speed, agility and athleticism were paramount. That was their balance. There were phenomenal, runners, jumpers, ratters, sheer speed etc. as well a beautiful a dog you could not take your eyes off whether their moving or standing still. The Noble line has almost disappeared from the American landscape and is an important part of the American Staffordshire Terrier history.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
