I'm Morgan P., the breeder behind Halfmoon Kennel located in Chuluota, FL. My dad and I are both passionate about our breeds, the American Eskimo and the Samoyed. We want to breed healthy dogs that are as close to the standard as we can get, with lovely temperaments. We prioritise breed preservation and education.

Why did you start breeding?
I have always wanted to be a breeder. Even when I was brand new to dogs, I wanted to be a preservation breeder. It felt like such a natural course of action. I am passionate about my breed and want to improve it, and see it live on for generations to come.What makes your program special?
The dogs always come first. They are my life’s passion and greatest joy. I spend countless hours studying my breeds, their history, their standards. Asking questions and investigating the answers.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

“I price American Eskimo puppies at $2500, and Samoyed puppies at $4000. Samoyeds require more rigorous health testing than American Eskimos, hence the price difference.”

About Breaker
Breaker is my heart dog. I have his portrait tattooed on my arm. He is the sweetest dog. He loves his family, babies of all kinds, and anyone who will let him love them. He is the most wonderful pet and while he is now retired from the show ring, we are working towards doing therapy work with him, as he has the most calm and relaxed temperament.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
