I'm Tammie M., the breeder behind Happy_Tails_by_TJ located in Portland, TN. I am a small in-home breeder of multigenerational Goldendoodles focused on health, temperament, and early development. Parents are DNA and health tested. Puppies are raised in my home using Puppy Culture, introduced to crate and litter box training, and go home with a contract and health guarantee.

Why did you start breeding?
My journey into breeding began with my own dogs, Sasha and Maisie Mae. Watching their temperaments, loyalty, and ability to bring comfort and joy inspired me to learn more about responsible breeding and early development. What started as love for my dogs grew into a commitment to raising puppies with care, intention, and respect for the responsibility involved.What makes your program special?
I am committed to raising puppies in a calm, loving home with a strong foundation in early socialization. My puppies are raised using Puppy Culture protocols, introduced to early crate and litter box training, supported through health testing, a written contract, and a health guarantee. I focus on producing well-adjusted puppies who are prepared to transition confidently into their forever homes.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Tammie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Pricing varies by litter. The listed range reflects health testing, early development, in-home care, first vaccines, and vet check. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy. If the timing or match is not right, the deposit may be rolled over to a future litter at the breeder’s discretion.”

Litter update on 13 July •…These little eyes are officially starting to open. Some puppies have their eyes fully open, while others are just beginning with tiny little slits. It happens over several days, and each puppy reaches this milestone in their own time. Their vision is still very blurry, but this marks the beginning of a whole new stage of development. Before long, their ears will begin to open too, and I'll start introducing even more gentle sounds and experiences as part of their early socialization. Litter update on 13 July •…At just 2 weeks old, each puppy is beginning to show more of their unique coat color and texture. While no breeder can guarantee exactly how a puppy will look as an adult this early, we can begin making educated predictions based on genetics and early coat development. Because this is Daisy and Teddy's first litter together, these observations are based on their genetic testing, what I'm seeing in each puppy today, and my experience watching puppies develop over time. Every litter is unique, and it will be exciting to watch these little ones continue to change over the coming weeks! Program update on 04 Jan •…Meet Chai The last of the litter and such a special girl. She loves to play hard... balls, sticks, and wrestling with her littermates. Then happily settles in for quiet time and cuddles. That natural balance is one of my favorite things about her. • Gorgeous solid black, wavy coat • Estimated to be ~35 lbs full grown • A temperament that reflects the proven reputation of this pairing Chai has been raised with intention, early enrichment, and lots of love, and she's ready to find her forever family.

Program update on 02 Jan •…Early training moments like this are some of my favorites 🐾 Here I’m luring Mac to follow me, then asking for a calm sit when I stop. This simple exercise helps puppies: • Learn to focus on their person • Practice impulse control • Build confidence through clear communication These short, positive sessions set the stage for smoother transitions into their forever homes and make early training feel natural—not overwhelming. Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
