  • Why did you start breeding?

    As a coonhound breeder, I'm not just raising puppies, I'm crafting canine hunters. Our coonhounds are known for their powerful voices, tireless energy and exceptional tracking abilities. They are the perfect companion for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts.

  • What makes your program special?

    Here at Harmons Hounds, our family is dedicated to the welfare of our hounds. We strive to keep our strong reputation for producing high-quality, healthy, and well-adjusted dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Redbone Coonhound puppies are red. Bluetick Coonhound puppies include blue ticked and tan and blue ticked. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Harmons

Harmons has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Harmons partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $600 - $1,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“All Puppies will go home with : Vet Exam and First Vaccine Record UKC Puppy Registration Food Toys Treats Scent Blanket Puppy Collar & Leash . This deposit is non-refundable. If the buyer has already made the deposit and later decides they do not want the puppy for any reason Harmons Hounds is not required to return the deposit. If the buyer has any unexpected circumstances or family emergencies and has already made the deposit, Harmons Hounds can hold said deposit for a future litter. If something were to happen to the puppy while in Harmons Hounds care, the deposit can be refunded or switched to an available puppy . For expected litters, if there are any problems or complications during pregnancy , the deposit will be refunded.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Harmons hounds was great to work with. They were very responsive and always keeping us up to date on the puppies growth. I also liked that they have a health report on both the mother and father posted with the litters.     We heard about Good Dog from two coworkers and got on the site to look for a puppy. We had just lost two great dogs and were sad, so the minute we saw the Harmon Hounds Bluetick coonhound pups we knew one was for us. The Harmons were quick to respond and even sent a video the same afternoon. We got Velma on December 17th and took her to Colorado for the holidays. She is just over four months now and is a happy, funny, friendly dog and growing like a weed. The Harmons are wonderful dog lovers and breeders and it’s clear that they care so much for their animals. We love Velma so much and will always stay in touch with the Harmons!

    Five stars, blue ribbon, high marks to Harmon Hounds! We don't have a lot of experience with breeders, but Harmon Hounds seemed pleased to work with us for a Redbone as a companion dog rather than a hunt or show achiever. To reinforce how right the match was, Harmon Hounds ended up traveling north on breeder and family business and brought the puppy nearly right to us!
