I'm Camila T., the breeder behind Haus Atreus German Shepherds located in Waldorf, MD. HAUS ATREUS is the "USA-protege-program" of the 35-yo European kennel LAST HATHY. We are proud to work under the tutelage of the DVM 14-time WUSV participant Oleksandr Koshelyev, the founder & training director of Last Hathy. Camila T is an applied mathematician turned Software Developer.

  • What makes your program special?

    Haus Atreus produces GSD *True to the WUSV GSD Standard*: workability, biddability, ON/OFF Switch. 1) Females come from primarily Western European Lines - little to none Cezh & Slovak. The Western lines guarantee the "Solid, Strong, Stable" combo. 2) VIDEOS - we do not rely on text only or oral-shared-on-phone stories. Halloween Festivals, On-Field Sport, Farm & Family - videos of HA are public.

Getting a puppy from Camila

Camila has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Camila partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“At 35-40 days we perform the Fisher-Volhard test - done by a certified behavioralist. We *video document* each puppy and their behavior at the Fisher-Volhard. We review the applications in our queue and match the prospective homes with the *top choice* for that home. We encourage you to send an SMS to our phone-line 210-460-0531 to schedule a preliminary chat for you to learn more about our program. We interact with the litter daily from day zero. We do CNS <comprehensive neural stimulation> which goes beyond ENS <early neurological stimulation>. Our CNS includes the steps of ENS *plus* at least 10minutes per puppy dedicated daily between days zero and twenty-one. While by 35 days the breeder has a general idea of the temperaments, the unbiased videotaped Fisher-Volhard offers an additional data point to further refine the matching algorithm. Each puppy goes home with: - The *Haus Atreus Puppy Handbook* & Puppy Starter Kit - Health guarantee *at pickup* - Health guarantee extended to *24-months* - Certificate of veterinary inspection - First set of puppy vaccinations - AKC papers & microchip, the breeder remains as a secondary/tertiary contact on the microchip - Lifetime support - each owner of a *Haus Atreus* puppy can call the breeder ANYTIME for ANY questions. We aim to *set the dog up for success* and our program includes the *white glove* GSD family support as an integral part.”

Puppy prices include a $800 non-refundable deposit and between $1,700 - $2,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

We open the deposit queue as the litter turns 21 days. We screen each family to ensure the best homes.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Dentition

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Full Embark Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
