Meet the breeder

I'm Cecilia, the breeder behind Haus Bärchen German Shepherds located in Mount Vernon, OH. Small, purpose-driven Working Line German Shepherd breeder. Our dogs are first and foremost our pets and sport partners. We breed selectively to produce our next competition dogs, with all breeding stock fully health tested and titled to SV standards.

Q. & A. with Cecilia

  • Why did you start breeding?

We started breeding out of a commitment to preserving and improving working-line German Shepherds. With years of experience training and competing in various sport venues, we became selective about the traits we needed in our own dogs. Breeding became a natural extension of that work, focused on producing dogs that excel in sport, are health tested, and remain stable, reliable companions at home.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding program focuses on producing high-quality working-line German Shepherds with strong, stable temperaments, health tested to SV standards, and fully titled in sport and/or working venues. We are highly selective, breeding only to further our competition goals. First and foremost, our dogs are family companions, with proven ability, structure, and drive
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
