I'm Yari, the breeder behind Head Over Doodles located in Maryland. We focus on producing puppies with great health and temperaments who can live long and comfortable lives as valued family members. Since we frequently place puppies with people who need service/support dogs, we place a strong emphasis on temperament, and we train and socialize our puppies the best we can while they are with us.
Q. & A. with Yari
Why did you start breeding?
While completing my master’s degree, I took part in a special intervention program that involved delayed learners reading to therapy dogs. It was great, and I wanted to continue the program so more students could benefit. I also gained knowledge of many veterans refusing therapy services or being unable to secure service animals. I decided to educate myself more on breeding and begin the journey.
What makes your program special?
Our program has donated puppies from each litter to serve as support animals for individuals or families that have been unable to secure a service/support dog. We work really hard to ensure that our puppies are loved, healthy, socialized, and well taken care of. Additionally, our dogs and our litters are genetically tested through Embark.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, black, phantom, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Yari was so helpful. This is our first puppy so we really appreciated her time to help us with paperwork and instructions on preparing for our new puppy! Yari even gift wrapped a box to help us surprise our daughter. Our puppy is sweet, intelligent and Yari even crate trained her for us! It was a wonderful process and we truly love our little puppy.
